At Waikato, Environmental Engineering prepares you for a career where you’ll work to have a lasting impact upon society by making eco-friendly projects. Environmental engineers mainly focus on protecting water, air, soil and built environments. Through this degree the students are taught to deal with the environmental conditions and build the infrastructures accordingly by doing minimum damage to the nature.

As the world is becoming nature conscious and working in the process to save the environment, the demand of Environment Engineers is increasing day by day. Accordingly, the student will learn to identify, monitor and solve problems related to the environment, resource allocation and use, and sustainability. This is a multi-disciplinary programme which combines the fundamentals of engineering, science, mathematics, and computing, with the study related to the environment and its management.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    Academic

    Students who’ve completed their high secondary education in the science background may apply for the Environmental Engineering.

    English Proficiency Score

    1. IELTS (Academic) – 6.0 overall (no band less than 6.0)
    2. iBT (internet based) TOEFL – 79-80 with a score of 20 in writing
    3. Pearson PTE Academic – 57 with no less than 57 for each communicative skill
