The much awaited results of Skilled Migrant category are finally out. This time the selection of Expression of Interest was took place on 7 March 2018. No data is revealed by the Immigration New Zealand regarding how much people had applied for it. The result comes out fortnightly every month by choosing Expression of Interest.
However, INZ issued the figure of selected EOIs. As per an official website of INZ, 450 EOIs who have scored 160 or more points and 997 people will now undergo preliminary verification to determine if an invitation to apply for residency will be issued. While disclosing the figures of under process EOIs on official website, NZ government said that there are 596 EOIs are in the pool after the selection.
A total number of candidates applied from offshore are 74 in which 39 are with job offer and 35 without job offer letter. While people applied from onshore with job offer are 376 and without letter 0. Total 450 applicants will get invitations to apply for skilled visa. After a specific time-frame, they would be eligible to apply for Citizenship of New Zealand.
If we glance at the percentage of people who have got EOIs, then India has stood up at first position with 24% EOIs whereas China 14%, Great Britain 14%, South Africa 10%, Philippines 8%, Sri Lanka 3%. Malaysia 2%, Brazil 2%, Fiji 2%, United States of America 2%, other 19% respectively.
At the same time, New Zealand government comes up with good news for those who are desperately planning to move the country. Now people can apply online for group visitor visas like visitor visa for tour groups, for groups of visiting officials. They can also apply for a visitor visa as the guardian of a student. People can include their family members in one application to visit NZ. Earlier, each member of a family had to apply online individually, or to submit a paper application.
