What is Skilled Employment?
Skilled employment is employment that technical, management or specialist expertise. If you have a job offer, it must be full time and sustainable. The job offer must be with a single employer in a job. If you are offered a contract and have a history of working on contracts in your occupation, then it may be accepted as “Skilled employment???.
You are eligible to apply for the skilled migration visa, if you have got skills, qualifications and experience. The relevant skills or work experience of an individual are assessed on the points based system. Depending upon your age, skills, health and character requirements, you will be given points, based on which you can apply for the visa.
Occupations in Part A
If your occupation is listed in the part , you must have a relevant recognized qualification. You must have a relevant work experience that the ANZSCO indicates may substitute the required qualification. The relevant requirements specified in column three of the Long term Skill Shortage List for your occupation.
Occupations in Part B
You must have a relevant recognized qualification which is at, or above level four on the NZQF. You must have a relevant work experience that the ANZSCO indicates and may be substituted for the required qualification. The relevant requirement specified in column three of the long term skill shortage for you occupation.
Occupations in Part C
For the occupation, listed in the Part C, you must have at least three years of relevant recognized work experience and a relevant recognized qualification. You must also have at least three years of relevant recognized work experience and your employment and your employment offer has an annual base salary of at least NZ$45,000. If your job offer does not meet the above mentioned requirements, it may still qualify for points for skilled employment. Your work experience is going to enhance the quality of accomplishments or participation in occupational area because you have an international reputation and record of excellence in the specific field.
