The University of Waikato
Master of Science (Research) is offered at the University of Waikato for the duration of 1-1.5 years and has a total of 120 to 180 points. The program starts in March and July every year.

University of Canterbury
University of Canterbury offers the program Master of Science for the duration of 1-2 years full time. The main intakes for the program are in February and July every year. The estimated tuition fees for this program is NZ $41,000 per year for international students.

To become eligible to get admission in this program the students must have completed a bachelor’s program in a science related field.

University of Otago
Master of Science (MSc) is a 2 year program at University of Otago and it consists of both coursework as well as research. The first year mainly focuses on coursework and the students can also opt to do this whole program as a thesis only program.
There is an additional benefit for students who have done the bachelor’s honors degree or a postgraduate diploma in a related field and they can complete the program by thesis only which will include minimum one year of study.
Applicants who have completed a bachelor’s degree can complete the program in 2 years.

Lincoln University
International students can apply for the program Master of Science at Lincoln University in the months of February and July every year. The duration of the program is 2 years of full time study and it consists of 240 points. The approximate tuition fees for international students is NZ $36,210 per year.
For applicants who want to get admission in the 240 credit Master’s (thesis plus exam), they must have completed a New Zealand level 7 bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent bachelor’s degree.
In order to do the 120-credit Master’s (thesis only) program the applicants must have a relevant postgraduate Honor’s degree.
