- English language ability– IELTS/PTE/TOEFL are some of the accepted English language proficiency score. For diploma and graduate level course one needs a minimum IELTS score of 6 overall and no less than 5.5 in one of the module. One can apply under SDS or Non SDS depending on their scores along with the funds requirement.

- Financial ability– One must have sufficient funds as required for having success with Canada student visa in 2021. In case one has 5.5 bands in one module of IELTS with just sufficient funds for the first semester to begin one must have valid documents to prove how he/she will pay in the future and fee receipt from the university or college. Also one would have GIC for CAD 10,000 to cover cost of living and expenditure in Canada.

One can prove funds and financial document requirement in 2021:
- Proof of a Canadian bank account in name of student with transferred money to Canada.
- Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) from a participating Canadian financial institution.
- Proof of a student or education loanfrom a bank.
- Bank statements for the past 4 months.
- A bank draft that can be converted to Canadian dollars.
- Fee receipt for tuition fee paid at the DLI and rent or accommodation receipt.
- A letter from the person or school giving you money or
- Proof of funding paid from within Canada, if you were given a scholarship or are in a Canadian-funded educational program.
