Qualify without points
First option for qualifying for Germany opportunity card for third country nationals is receiving full recognition of their foreign qualification. Qualify with points
Second option to qualify is having an academic or a vocational training. Your vocational qualification must be recognized in the country where you obtained that qualification. It must also have 2 years of vocational training for the qualification to be eligible. Having partial equivalence of this qualification by ZAB Central Office for Foreign Education is also compulsory If this applies to you then you need to score 6 points to qualify for Germany job search opportunity card .Applicants must score 6 points to be eligible to apply for Germany job search opportunity card. Along with scoring 6 points applicants must also have at least German language level A1 or English language level B2 as specified on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

Equivalence of qualification
If the qualification based on which you are applying for Germany opportunity card which was gained outside of Germany is partially recognized with a German qualification then you get 4 points. Applicants would be still be getting this 4 points if they are required to complete any conditions in case of a regulated profession. So you get four points for equivalence of qualification.
Qualification in shortage occupation in Germany

Professional experience
Applicants may qualify for points for their Germany job search opportunity card if they have professional experience. A two years of professional experience within last 5 years may make you eligible to score 2 points. If the experience is more then you may score more points. For 5 years of professional experience in last 7 years applicants may score 3 points.
Points for age
Having appropriate age may make you eligible to score points. Although it is not mandatory to score points under this but if you are aged 35 or below you are awarded two points. Applicants who are aged between 35 and 40 are awarded one points. No points are awarded if you are above 40 years of age for Germany opportunity card.
Points for Germany or English Language skills for Germany job search opportunity card
Having required English language and or German language skills may also make you eligible to be awarded points under this category. The mandatory language skills under this qualifying criteria are German language level A1 or English language level B2 as specified on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). But if you have higher level of language skills you may be awarded points.
Applicants may also earn one point for their German language skills at A2, for German language skills at B1 applicants are awarded 2 points and for German language skills at B2 or above applicants are awarded 3 points for Germany opportunity card. For English language levels C1 or above or if you are a native English language speaker the applicants are awarded extra one point
Points for previous stay in Germany
For any legimate previous stays in German in the last 5 years applicants may be awarded one points. So if you have stayed in Germany for a continuous period of 6 months to study any language course or any work you may qualify for the points
Points for spouses
If your partner or spouse meets the Germany opportunity card requirements you score one point under this category
