Description:
This program is planned in the manner to provide the skills to the students with which they can become a professionally accredited counsellor. The students will be given whole set of counselling knowledge and other skills with which they can work ethically with the clients who their to seek help.
Program structure
Seven Introductory Core Courses of the program are:
- Communication and Thought
- Theories of Counselling: From Freud to Integrative Practice
- Group Processes and Practice
- Introductory Counselling Skills
- Introduction to Psychology A
- Introduction to Psychology B
- Introduction to Indigenous Australia
The students will be studying advanced courses which are 13 in total:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy: Skills and Applications
- Strengths Based Counselling: Collaborative Approaches
- Counselling for Crisis, Trauma and Loss
- Positive Psychology for Counselling
- Counselling Development and Supervision 1
- Counselling Development and Supervision 2
- Counselling Placement 1
- Counselling Placement 2
- Developmental and Family Counselling
- Introduction to Human Development
- Social Research
- Understanding Cultural Diversity
- Ethical Practice in the Helping Professions
Career Outcomes:

Academic
After +2, student may apply for Bachelor of Counselling in University of Sunshine Coast in Australia to pursue a career as professional counsellors.
English Proficiency Requirement
- IELTS Academic- Overall Band Score 6.0 not less than 5.5
- TOEFL- iBT: 76, pBT: 550
- PTE- 50 not less than 50 in any module
