Description:
The University of Canterbury aims to prepare the fire engineers who are motivated and want to work for the people and environment to protect it from the destructive fire. The students deal with the safety aspects in buildings and other structures, humans etc from fire. MEFE at Canterbury has been made up of 6 courses and a thesis.

Academic
The students who’ve done Bachelor of Engineering with Honours or Bachelor of Science with Honours or have Postgraduate Certificate in Engineering may apply for the Master of Engineering in Fire Electronic Engineering.
English proficiency Score
- IELTS (Academic): Minimum overall score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
- TOEFL (IBT): Minimum overall score of 90, with a minimum score of 19 in Reading, Listening and Writing.
- PTE (Pearson Test of English – Academic): Overall score of 58 and no communicative skills score below 50.
