Description:
Game design is one of the leading industries on the globe, and this program will open a lot of doors to gaming studios.
Learn to create video games from scratch, work in teams in a studio-style setting, enhance your graphical style, and express your ideas through games. After completion, you’ll have an interactive portfolio that showcases your skills.
Course Features:
Learn from best game designers, work with best industry mentors and make original games that showcase your insane game capabilities. In two years you’ll learn a lot of skills that’ll set the world on fire.
First year:
Game Design Fundamentals – Think people, cultural contexts and testing and rectification techniques.
Character and Environment Art Assets – Design 2D and 3D textured characters, learn about environment art, and the rationales behind game design decisions.
User Interface Art Assets – Improve your knowledge of different platforms and their result on creating UI art assets, also UIs for devices.
Animation – Create a design using specialist software to animate very own 2D and 3D characters.
Second year:
Workplace Simulated Pre-production Project – Make art design including 2D idea art assets for a game level, and a project plan to supervise art asset design and development.
Workplace Simulated Production Project – Work as member of a team on a game development, create game assets for a game level, from specification to compliance.
Portfolio and Development Blog – Produce and present your work of game asset art to an industry standard.
The team project which will see you co-ordinating with fellows to create an original game that helps you to flex your game art muscles. You’ll complete the course with skills and an extensive portfolio of games you have produced, along with interactive prototypes and supporting documentation.
Career Outcomes:
Game Level Designer – Take care of the data and portion of the game development cycle, and coordinate with team members of the game
Game Artist – These are responsible for visual parts of a game, designing the characters and creating the virtual world environment
Game Writers – Make game plots, settings and characters through storyboarding; also produce manuals and game guides
Character Animator – Make characters that use movement to narrate a story for TV, video games or mobile applications
Technical Artist – Develop the path between the artists and programmers working on a game, ensuring the integration of art assets without sacrificing artistic vision.
Academic eligibility:
Students must have Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline.
English language proficiency score:
- IELTS score of 6.0 with no less than 5.5
- TOEFL Score of 60 is required
- PTE required score is 50
