Description:
Forest Engineering is the amalgamation of forestry, engineering, and management in which the students are taught the skills to solve engineering problems in the natural primarily keeping the balance of economic, environmental and society requirements. Forest engineers are required to construct and evaluate the operational systems related to forestry that runs the forest industry. The engineers have to build and design new roads, upgrade and develop the equipment of forestry, proper planning of the harvesting operations, optimizations of transport logistics, supervising and ensuring the safety and integrating new technologies.
University of Canterbury teaches the Forest Engineering via the School of Forestry and the Department of Civil and Natural Resources Engineering. The students are led into many field trips for providing students hands on experiences.

The students who’ve completed their 10+2 with mathematics, physics and chemistry should apply for the bachelors in Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Forest Engineering at University of Canterbury.
English Proficiency Score
- IELTS score 6.0 not less than 5.5
- TOEFL (iBT) total minimum score of 80, with at least 19 in reading, writing and listening
- TOEFL PBT with a minimum score of 550 and TWE with a minimum score of 4.5
- PTE with an overall score of 50 and no PTE communicative skills score below 42
