Description:
The Bachelor of Engineering with Honors (BE(Hons)) in Chemical and Process Engineering is a four-year professional degree which is accredited by Engineering New Zealand that lets the students to work professionally. The engineers turn the raw material into the processed- marketing products through using physical, biological and physical means. The experiments take place in laboratory under strict surveillance and then brought on the commercial level keeping the economics, sustainability and safety.
The University of Canterbury offers minor programs for the students who are interest in Engineering as well as Biology –Minors in Bioprocess Engineering & Energy Processing Technologies.
The Bioprocess Engineers works to process and design products through biology like vitamins, detergents, confectionary, alcoholic beverages etc. Through minor in the Energy Processing Technologies the students will gain skills to tackle the environmental issues which are raised while extracting the raw materials such as renewable resources, fossil fuels etc.

Academic
The students who’ve done their 10+2 in mathematics, physics and chemistry may apply for the Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Chemical and Process Engineering at University of Canterbury.
English Proficiency Score
- IELTS academic with an average score of 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in reading, writing, listening and speaking
- TOEFL (iBT) total minimum score of 80, with at least 19 in reading, writing and listening
- TOEFL PBT with a minimum score of 550 and TWE with a minimum score of 4.5
- Pearson Test of English (Academic) – PTE with an overall score of 50 and no PTE communicative skills score below 42.
