Skilled Occupation list is eligible for applicants, who have a family sponsored point’s test visa, temporary graduate visa; independent points based skilled migrations who are not nominated by territory government agency or state. The SOL is used for Skilled Independent Subclass 189 Visa, the skilled regional provisional Subclass 489 Visa and the graduate temporary subclass 485 visa.
To obtain skill assessment, you must contact a relevant assessing authority. The assessing authority will provide you all the relevant application forms and associated information related to the assessment. Skilled occupation list is used as a part of the Australian points system for immigration. To qualify for skilled migration to Australia, you must nominate an occupation from the skilled occupation list. In case you are applying for skilled migration via nomination by a state or territory government, you also get an option of nominating an occupation from the CSOL.
The CSOL – Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List is used for the Skilled Nominated Subclass 190 visa. You must be nominated by a State or territory government, a temporary work visa or a training and research visa (subclass 402). The occupation which has been removed from the CSOL is primary school teacher 241213. Consequently, primary teachers are not eligible for state sponsored or employer sponsored visas.
